How do I register and log in to digital banking?
To register for digital banking.
We can help you get set up at your nearest branch, or call us on 0800 400 600 and press 6 weekdays from 7am to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 5pm New Zealand time (+64 9 912 8000 if you're overseas, international charges may apply).
If you join through our website, we’ll contact you to get set up.
Download and log in to the app.
- Download the app
- For an iPhone or iPad, visit the App Store
- For an Android phone or tablet, visit Google Play.
- Log in using your Customer ID and the temporary password we sent you. If you don't get the password or don't use it before it expires, call us or visit a branch to get another one.
- Follow the steps to set up your Profile:
- Set up quick access to check your balances and transfer without logging in
- Set up face, fingerprint or PIN log in
- Accept the terms and conditions
- Set up Apple pay or Google Pay
- Personalise your accounts
- Turn on push notifications
- Set your own password
- Take a minute to customise your username and check you’ve added your mobile number so you can reset your password yourself.
- Select More to Log out.
Log in to online banking.
- On a computer, tablet or a phone browser, type in westpac.co.nz
- Select Login from the top right and type in your Customer ID and the temporary password we sent you.

- Set your own password
- Set up your security challenge questions
- Take a minute to customise your username and check you’ve added your mobile number so you can reset your password yourself.
- Log out.
