In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to keep
you updated about the plans we're implementing to keep
our people and customers safe.
Kia ora koutou katoa,
Congratulations New Zealand on getting to Level-1. We should all be incredibly proud of the teamwork, compassion and determination we’ve shown since the country went into lockdown in March.
However, while COVID-19 may have been stamped out, at least for the moment, we know the economic effects of the first wave will continue to linger for some time.
For many of you, your financial outlook will have changed dramatically in the past few months, with a significant period of uncertainty still to come.
But, no matter your situation, we’ll continue to stand alongside you as we have done for more than 150 years.
Please get in touch with us if you’ve been financially affected by COVID-19. We have a range of support options for personal and business customers and we want to talk to you about how we can help. Our dedicated COVID-19 response team is available on 0800 606 606.
We’re all adapting to the “new normal” in different ways. Many of you will have found it more simple and convenient to do your banking from home, and we encourage you to register for online banking if you haven’t done so already.
Or, call us on 0800 400 600 (+64 9 375 9907 for overseas) if you would like to speak to someone directly about your banking needs.
You’re also able to visit us in person. More than 140 branches are now operating again, with most open five or six days a week.
Please take care of yourselves, and your families and friends.
Ngā mihi nui,
Westpac NZ Chief Executive
