Graduate Account

Congratulations on finishing your tertiary study and graduating! Graduates and qualified NZ apprentices (aka tertiary veterans) need something a little more when it comes to banking compared to the average student, that’s where the Graduate Account steps in. This account is designed to help you transition from your life as a student or apprentice to the exciting world of full-time employment and everything it brings.

Graduate Account

To switch to the Graduate Account, you just need to be a New Zealand resident and have completed your apprenticeship or tertiary course within the last 12 months.

You can be on the Graduate Account for one year, once your study or apprenticeship is completed. After that we’ll be in touch and move you onto the Westpac Everyday Account, which is also fee free for electronic transactions.
