Things you should know.

Certain purchases and transactions are not eligible to earn hotpoints, Airpoints Dollars or Status Points, as applicable. See the applicable Credit Card Conditions of Use for full details. The tiered earn rates will reset at the start of each relevant month.

*Third party fees and Westpac charges may apply. For full details refer to the Westpac Fee Free Mastercard® Conditions of Use and the Transaction and Service Fees brochure.

1 Rate will apply to balance(s) transferred until that balance(s) is paid off. Balance Transfer Terms and Conditions and lending criteria apply. All applications are subject to Westpac approval. You cannot transfer a balance from a Westpac card or loan. You can transfer up to 95% of your available credit card limit. Your card must remain within its credit limit after the balance has been transferred. Balances cannot be transferred to a Business Mastercard®. Balance transfers do not earn Airpoints Dollars™ or hotpoints®. Payments you make to your Westpac credit card will first go to charges and interest accrued, then to cash advances and purchases, followed by balance transfers as they appear on your last statement. Payments will then be applied to transactions that have not yet appeared on a statement in the same order. If you have multiple balance transfer rates, payments will first be applied to the balance transferred on the highest interest rate. Interest rates are subject to change without notice. All new purchases, cash advances and any unpaid interest or fees will incur interest at the standard interest rate in accordance with the card’s Conditions of Use

2 If you have paid your last statement period closing balance in full, you will start your current statement period with a $0 balance owing. When you start your current statement period with a $0 balance owing, do not have a transferred balance on your credit card and pay your statement closing balance in full by its due date, you will get up to a specified number of days interest-free on your purchases. Cash advances are not purchases and have no interest free days. See credit card interest-free period page for how it works.

3 Eligible purchases exclude cash advances, charges, interest, tax payments, cash substitutes, business expenditure (excluding transactions made on a BusinessPLUS Mastercard), balance transfers, transactions on your nominated account(s) linked to your credit card, any transaction that is reversed, refunded or charged back.

Certain purchases and transactions do not earn hotpoints, Airpoints Dollars or Status Points, as applicable, (see the applicable Credit Card Conditions of Use for full details), including:  fees, charges or interest, balance transfers, credit card repayment insurance, tax payments (including local council rates and ACC Levies), gambling chips or gambling transactions (including online gambling), cash withdrawals from your account, money orders, travellers cheques and foreign currencies in cash, business-related purchases made with a Westpac hotpoints or Airpoints credit card other than a Westpac Airpoints Business Mastercard or Westpac BusinessPLUS Mastercard and transactions on any nominated account(s) linked to your Westpac credit card (the “excluded transactions”).
Status Points are earned on applicable credit cards only.  The tiered earn rates will reset at the start of each relevant month.

Only qualifying purchases (which, for the avoidance of doubt, do not include any purchases or transactions which are excluded transactions) made with a hotpoints Mastercard can be used for hotpoints Pay.  In addition, there is a minimum number of hotpoints that must be earned before you are eligible to redeem your hotpoints for any reward or for hotpoints Pay. See the applicable Credit Card Conditions of Use for details.
