Change an existing Term Cover policy

To update your personal details (such as name, residential address), call Westpac on 0800 400 600 weekdays 7am to 8pm and 8am to 5pm weekends.

To update your policy details (such as payment details, policy mailing address), call Fidelity Life on 0800 738 641 on weekdays.

How Term Cover works.

Every Term Cover policy starts with Life Cover. Life cover (the Death/Terminal Illness Benefit) is a simple way to look after those you care about if you die or are diagnosed with a terminal illness with less than 12 months to live.

If you're eligible and depending on your needs and budget, you can also tailor your insurance by increasing an existing benefit you currently hold or adding one or both of the two optional benefits below.

Crisis Cover

Crisis Cover can help you to get life back on track if you suffer a specified critical illness or injury. It could pay a lump sum, which reduces the sum insured on your Death/Terminal Illness Benefit.

Income Cover

Income Cover could pay you a monthly benefit if you’re unable to work because of serious illness or injury.

Enjoy any policy improvements automatically

If we improve our Term Cover in a way that doesn’t increase our standard premium rates, we’ll automatically update your policy so you can enjoy the benefits too.

You can increase your cover after a special event

No medical information is needed if you want to increase your Death/Terminal Illness Benefit or optional Crisis Cover Benefit within three months of getting married, receiving a pay rise or other defined special events, if you satisfy a few conditions.
