How do I check or update my phone or tablet's software so I can update the Westpac One app?

Here's how to check or update the operating system on your phone or tablet.

iPhone or iPad:

  • Go to Settings > General > About > iOS Version to check the operating system your phone or tablet is using.
  • If you’re using Apple iOS 14 or older, you’ll need to update your software before you can download the Westpac One® app. From July 2026 you’ll need iOS 16.  Go to Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support (NZ)​ for a step by step guide to updating your operating system. 

Android phone or tablet:

  • Go to Settings > About Phone > Software information > Android version to check the operating system your phone or tablet is using.
  • If you’re using Android 6 or older, you’ll need to update your software before you can download Westpac One® app. From July 2026 you’ll need Android 10. Go to Android: Check & update your Android version - Android Help (google.com)​

If you can't update your software.

If you can’t update your phone or tablet’s software to a version that supports the app, you can still log in to online banking through the Westpac website on your phone or tablet browser.
