(1) An International Money Transfer is commonly known as telegraphic or wire transfer which is a specified amount of money sent to another country.
(2) The exchange rate applied to the conversion of foreign cheques is the Westpac “receive an international payment rate” for the currency of the cheque. The applicable exchange rate will be applied as of the date when the funds are received from the foreign bank by Westpac.
Exchange rates are updated Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
Certain transactions are subject to a commission charge and/or fees(s).
Westpac no longer accepts travellers' cheques unless they are issued by Westpac and are deposited into a Westpac New Zealand bank account.
Westpac accepts no liability for losses suffered as a result of it converting currencies and any exchange risks from the conversion of currencies is the responsibility of the account holder.
