You can use Westpac One® digital banking to apply to open a new credit account or apply to transfer your existing card. Make sure you redeem your hotpoints® as soon as possible as they'll expire 90 days after the closure of your hotpoints account.

Once we have received your closure request, your card will be removed from your Westpac One profile and you can't use it any more. This also removes the link to log in to hotpoints online. Any remaining points you had can be accessed by calling us on 0800 861 862, weekdays between 8am and 6pm. During the 90 day expiry period, you won't be able to:

  • Redeem hotpoints online (only over the phone by calling 0800 861 862 weekdays between 8am and 6pm)
  • Redeem hotpoints using hotpoints Pay®
  • Use the Points + Pay mechanism.
