While we no longer issue bank cheques, we will still honour Westpac New Zealand Limited issued bank cheques for up to 5 years after the date of issue, subject to the usual requirements. Come into any Westpac branch or call 0800 400 600 to talk to us about it.

We will not accept bank cheques issued by other banks so if you have one from another bank please contact them for guidance.

If you need a way to quickly make a large deposit or payment, online or phone banking transactions can be processed within the same business day. You may need to lift your daily online and phone banking limit by giving us a call on 0800 400 600. You can also check if the company you’re paying is a registered bill payee within Westpac One online banking as this will make it easier.
