Entry into this prize draw constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. The Promoter is Westpac New Zealand Limited (“Westpac”).
2. Entry period: 6 October 2026 to 30 November 2026 at 11:59pm NZDT.
3. Entry is by invitation only and is open to selected existing Westpac customers who receive this email (“Eligible Customers”).
4. To enter: an Eligible customer must apply for a Westpac Debit Mastercard® or Airpoints^TM Debit Mastercard® and successfully use that new card to make a purchase or withdraw cash by 30 November 2026.
5. Each Eligible Customer is entitled to a maximum of one entry into the prize draw. Multiple qualifying transactions made using the new Westpac Debit Mastercard® or Airpoints^TM Debit Mastercard® will not result in additional entries.
6. A pending, failed, refund or reversal transaction during the promotion period will not be counted as an entry. Incomplete entries will be rejected.
7. Employees (and their immediate family members) of Mastercard, The Loom and of their related entities, are not eligible to enter or win.
8. There is one prize of a 10-night trip to Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Prize includes:
   1. 2 x Premium Economy class return airfares from Auckland;
   2. 10 nights of accommodation at 4 or 5 star hotels;
   3. daily breakfasts and 3 dinners for 2 people;
   4. a full day excursion for 2 people to Mount Fuji;
   5. 3 premium cultural experiences for 2 people (Kabuki-za Theatre, Sumo stable morning practice with a guided tour, Matcha tea ceremony and kimono experience);
   6. 2 x return train tickets to Osaka;
   7. private transfers from airport and train to hotels; and
   8. a $NZD3,000 Mastercard Prepaid Gift Card.
9. Random prize draw: 7 December 2026. One winner will be drawn.
10. The winner must be 18 years of age or older at the time the prize is drawn.
11. The winner will be notified by telephone or e-mail on or about 8 December 2026. If winner is not reasonably able to be contacted within 3 days of the prize draw, the prize shall be forfeited and another winner will be drawn.
12. The prize is valid for two (2) people sharing twin or double accommodation. The second guest must travel with the winner on the same itinerary.
13. The guest accompanying the winner is not required to be 18 years of age or older. Where the accompanying guest is under 18 years of age, they must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian for the duration of the prize travel.
14. The winner must book their travel at least six weeks prior to the intended date of travel, subject to availability and the travel must be completed between 1 January 2027 to 30 September 2027.
15. Blackout dates apply during peak periods, including Christmas, New Year, and New Zealand and Australian school holiday periods. Travel outside the valid travel period or during blackout dates is only permitted if expressly approved by Luxury Escapes, with any additional costs payable by the winner.
16. Flights, rail, hotels, dining, transfers, excursions and experiences are subject to supplier confirmation and availability at the time of booking. Alternatives may be provided where necessary.
17. Flight times, routings and carriers are at Luxury Escapes’ discretion.
18. Hotel ratings are based on the relevant Tourism Authority classification, not a representation by Westpac.
19. The itinerary may be adjusted due to operational requirements, weather conditions, supplier availability or other unforeseen circumstances.
20. Some elements of the prize involve physical activity or activities with inherent risk (which may include sumo stable practice and the Mount Fuji day tour, including a lake cruise). The winner and their guest must satisfy any applicable health, fitness, age, weight, height or other supplier requirements, comply with all safety directions and sign any waiver reasonably required by the supplier.
21. If the winner or their guest is unable to participate in any activity because of health, fitness or eligibility requirements, no refund, substitute benefit or compensation will be provided.
22. If a supplier cancels or materially changes an included experience, Luxury Escapes will use reasonable endeavours to arrange a comparable alternative of equal or higher standard. Luxury Escapes is not liable for a supplier's decision to cancel or change an experience, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.
23. If the winner resides outside of Auckland, they are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from Auckland at their own cost, as well as any other related expenses.
24. The winner is responsible for arranging valid passports, visas and other relevant travel documentation.
25. Taxes and surcharges applicable to the included flights are covered as part of the prize. Local property, city, or accommodation taxes imposed by suppliers or local authorities (where applicable) are not included and may be payable by the winner directly.
26. The winner will be responsible for any expense not covered by the prize, including without limitation travel to Auckland, accommodation, upgrades, extensions, additional passengers, costs relating to visas or other entry requirements, travel insurance, food and beverage expenses, minibar, gratuities and any other travel costs.
27. All entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the applicable service providers.
28. Where the prize cannot proceed as originally booked, flights included in the prize are non-refundable. Any ability to amend or re-book accommodation will depend on the flexibility of the accommodation booking selected at the time of confirmation. The prize does not include cover for any costs, fees or losses arising from changes or cancellations initiated by the winner or their guest.
29. The travel component of the prize is supplied by Luxury Escapes Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 16 150 650 927) ("Luxury Escapes"). These prize terms are to be read together with, and are subject to, the Luxury Escapes booking terms and conditions available at https://luxuryescapes.com/au/terms-and-conditions (the "Luxury Escapes T&Cs"), which apply to the supply of all travel products and services forming part of the prize.
30. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or on-sold or exchanged in whole or in part.
31. Westpac may substitute the prize or any portion of the prize with an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice.
32. Westpac may request proof of age, identity, address and other information from you if relevant to entry into or participation in this prize draw. Verification is at Westpac’s discretion whose decision is final.
33. Westpac or Luxury Escapes may disqualify an entrant (or their guest) for (a) tampering with the entry process; (b) submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions; (c) engaging in any conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion; (d) provides false or misleading information; (e) breaches these terms; or (f) attempts to on-sell or exchange the prize, or engages in fraudulent, abusive, threatening, or unlawful conduct towards Luxury Escapes, any supplier, or any other person in connection with the prize.
34. By entering, you consent to Westpac publishing your name, should you win on the Westpac website at westpac.co.nz; the Westpac NZ Facebook/Instagram page and in any other forum that Westpac considers appropriate.
35. The winner(s) agree that their name and email address may be shared with MarketBridge for the purpose of prize fulfilment.
36. If Westpac cannot run the prize draw as planned for any reason, Westpac may extend the entry period or postpone or cancel the prize draw. If so, a notice will be posted at westpac.co.nz
37. Westpac is not responsible for, and will not be liable for, any missed, delayed or unsuccessful Prize Draw entry where a customer is unable to complete a qualifying transaction before the Prize Draw closes, including as a result of delays in card issuance, card activation, card delivery, postal services, digital wallet provisioning, or any other circumstance beyond Westpac's reasonable control.
38. All decisions made by Westpac are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
39. The winner is fully responsible for any tax implications arising from accepting the prize.
40. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Westpac (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability, for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or injury (including loss of opportunity and any personal injury, whether physical or mental) arising in any way out of the prize draw or acceptance or use of any prize.
41. To the extent permitted by law, neither Westpac nor its agents will be responsible for the quality of any prize once issued. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a consumer's rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other statutory rights that the winner may have in relation to the prize.
