1 Direct debit authorities for Westpac Unit Trusts and Retirement Plans are free.
2 Sweepover has a $0 service fee for each sweep.
EFTPOS & debit cards - Fees.
1 A foreign currency fee is charged when you make a purchase or cash withdrawal in a foreign currency, and also applies to any fees and charges charged by the overseas bank or vendor in relation to the transaction. This fee is also charged when you make online purchases in a foreign currency.

3 Fee exemptions
The annual fee is waived for:
- Customers 19 years and over (fee waived for the first year)
- Customers under 19 years
- Customers on a Career Starter Pac, Tertiary Pac or Graduate Pac, for the life of the Pacs
- SuperGold Card holders (fee waived for the first year).

How interest is charged
The interest rate on Westpac personal overdrafts (permanent and temporary) is currently 19.95% p.a. This includes a base interest rate of 13.95% p.a., plus a margin interest rate of 6% p.a. Westpac may change the base rate, replace it with a new base rate or change the margin from time to time.
Please note a special interest rate concession applies to overdrafts on Student, Graduate and Career Starter accounts.
If you become overdrawn without an arranged limit, the interest rate charged on the overdrawn amount is 19.95% p.a (calculated on a daily basis). An unarranged overdraft fee will also be charged (see above).
The way interest is charged
Interest is calculated daily and will be charged to your Westpac transaction account on the last day of the month.
Lending - Service Fees.

2Additional disbursement charges may apply in some circumstances (includes discharge of securities, release of guarantees/life policies, priorities, variation memorandums that alter security arrangements through acting solicitor and collection of life policies under assignment) or where no solicitor is involved. Quotation is available on request.
Cash handling/deposits - Fees.
Cash handling will be charged to Westpac customers when the amount of cash deposited or withdrawn to an account in any charge month^ is $75,000 or more at the following rates (the fee applies to the full amount deposited). Additional costs may apply for special requests such as large coin or cash deposits and withdrawals, and non-Westpac customers.
^ A charge month starts on the last business day of the calendar month and finishes on the second to last business day of the following month.

1 Payments to Cook Islands, Tonga, Samoa, American Samoa, Vanuatu, Kiribati, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Fiji are $0.00 transfer fee via Westpac One. Overseas bank charges will still apply.
