In the eight years Sophie Pascoe has been a Westpac Ambassador she has become New Zealand’s most successful Paralympian and one of the most prolific Paralympic swimmers in history.
The 15-time Paralympic medallist made history at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, winning 3 gold medals and 2 silvers. In 2017, she broke another six world records and was subsequently awarded the New Zealand Disabled Sportsperson of the Year for the fifth time.
We’re extremely proud to be backing this inspirational Kiwi, not only for her achievements in the pool but the impact she has made as an advocate for inclusion and equality, and as a role-model for New Zealanders chasing their own dreams.
In her 25 years Sophie has overcome significant physical, mental and societal barriers. In 2016 Sophie was awarded the Sport New Zealand Leadership Award. She is living proof that even in the face of adversity, a commitment to professionalism, integrity and hard-work will ultimately reap rewards.
Westpac is incredibly proud of Sophie’s achievements, and we are honoured to have her working with our employees and local communities as a Westpac Ambassador.
