Plan your business transition from gas.
New Zealand’s gas supply and pricing is becoming less predictable. Plan ahead to reduce business risk, manage energy costs and prepare your business for the future.
If your business relies on natural gas, now's a good time to start exploring your options. With gas supply and pricing becoming less predictable, and support available, planning early can give you better future choices and more time to prepare.
Planning ahead doesn't mean making changes straight away. It means understanding how your business uses gas, exploring alternatives and potential efficiencies, and identifying what might work best for you when the time is right.
Westpac is committed to helping New Zealand businesses adapt and thrive in a changing energy landscape. By supporting investment today, we're helping build stronger businesses and communities and a more resilient future for Aotearoa.
Benefits of transitioning from gas.
- Reduce uncertainty: Help reduce the impact of future gas supply changes and price fluctuations by understanding your options and planning ahead.
- Manage energy costs: Compare long-term energy costs and future availability – not just upfront investment – so you can make better-informed decisions for your business.
- Build a more resilient business: Reduce operational risk, support business continuity and may lower your emissions as energy systems and market conditions change.
- Access funding and support: Explore funding, specialist advice and finance options that may help make your transition easier and more affordable.
The potential benefits of transitioning from gas will vary depending on your business, energy needs and transition project.
