It's quite likely that payments will continue to be made to the deceased person's bank accounts in the weeks or months following their passing. Such payments may include superannuation, final wage payments, tax refunds, dividends from shares or even refunds that you may have organised from other companies.

Once a bank account has been closed, we will be unable to reopen it. If the estate is going to continue to receive ongoing payments, make sure these payments have been redirected before instructing us to close the accounts.
