How do I fix or refix my home loan online in Westpac One digital banking?
A Fix a new rate button will appear on your account screen if you are an eligible customer.
If you want to fix or refix and can’t do it online, give us a call on 0800 336 933 weekdays between 9am and 5pm, email bookrate@westpac.co.nz or visit your nearest branch.
In Westpac One ® digital banking:
- Select Accounts, then choose the home loan you want to fix or refix
- Select the Fix a new rate button
- Then choose the rate and term that suits you
- You can move the slider to adjust your repayments to suit your needs. If your loan is interest only, you won't have a slider as you’re repaying only the interest amount on your loan. At the end of the interest only period, you’ll be able to adjust your repayment amount in digital banking if you're eligible or by contacting us.
- Select Next: Review your loan
- After reviewing your loan, select Next: Agree to terms
- Tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions, select Complete and your new rate is locked in
- We’ll confirm your new repayments.
I clicked on a button to fix a new rate on my home loan. Why did it take me to my accounts screen?
This might happen when:
- You have two different customer IDs for digital banking. You might have two customer IDs if you have more than 9 accounts to display. The link to refix your home loan won’t work if you’ve clicked on it from the ID that doesn’t have your home loan account.
- You’ve already contacted us to fix a new rate on your home loan. If you’ve already talked to us about fixing a new rate on your home loan, you don’t need to do anything. Click on the three dots in the notification and click Dismiss notification to delete it.
Why don't I have a Fix a new rate button?
- You may need to update your app to the latest version.
- Some loans can't be fixed or re-fixed in digital banking. If you want to fix or refix and can’t do it online, give us a call on 0800 336 933 weekdays between 9am and 5pm, email bookrate@westpac.co.nz or visit your nearest branch.
