How do I share my account name and number in Westpac One?
Your legal account holder name, trading name (if you’ve given this to us), and account number are on Details screen of your account in the Westpac One app, or the Account details screen in online banking. For joint accounts, the names of all account holders are also listed.
Share these details with someone who wants to pay you to make sure their payment gets to the right account.
To share your account details from the Westpac One mobile app:
- Select Accounts on the bottom menu
- Select the account you want the payment to go to
- Select the share icon next to the account name to copy your account number and your account holder name.
- Paste the copied details into a message to share.
Note: If you have shared your trading name with us, we’ll copy that, rather than the account holder name. If you have a joint account, we’ll copy the name of the logged-in user.
You can manually change the name that you send with the account number if it is the trading name, or an account holder name shown on your account Details screen. Using any of these names will help make sure payments get to you smoothly.
