Security Alert: Spectre and Meltdown Update

You may be aware of the two new computer vulnerabilities (Meltdown and Spectre) that have been discovered in the computer chips or microchips of various devices - including mobiles, tablets and desktop computers containing potentially sensitive personal information and passwords. These vulnerabilities may make it easier for hackers to access protected information on your device.

Westpac New Zealand is aware of these vulnerabilities and we are working hard to ensure, as always, that customer information in our systems remains protected from cyber threats. We recommend that you update your personal devices with the latest software.
