Malcolm Bailey was appointed a Director of Westpac New Zealand Limited on 1 September 2012.
With a strong economic background, Malcolm has also been involved in farming, land ownership and governance of the industry. He is a former national president of Federated Farmers of New Zealand and was a Director of Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited and Fonterra Farmer Custodian Limited from 2004 until 2016.
Malcolm is Chair of the Dairy Companies Association of New Zealand and Red Meat Profit Partnership General Partner Limited. He is a member of the International Food and Agriculture Trade Policy Council and a Director of various other companies including BBD Industrial Properties Limited, Embryo Technologies Limited, Etech NZ Limited, RMI NZ Limited and Gleneig Holdings Limited.
Prior to farming, Malcolm was an economist with the Reserve Bank and is a former Reserve Bank External Monetary Policy Adviser.
