What if I use hotpoints Pay® to buy something in a foreign currency?
When you use hotpoints Pay to buy something in a foreign currency, we’ll calculate the points based on our exchange rate in NZ dollars.
- The hotpoints Pay amount is calculated on the day you make the purchase, so we’ll use the exchange rate on that day.
- The currency conversion fee is charged separately, so hotpoints Pay will only be used for your purchase amount.
- There are some countries where Mastercard® is not accepted. For more information, check the Westpac Credit Card Conditions of Use.
