How do I share or verify a Business Bank Account Verifiable Credential?

Share your Westpac Business Bank Account credential with organisations as proof of your account. It can be verified using apps with the ability to check verifiable credentials, such as NZ Verify.

Share a Business Bank Account Verifiable Credential.

You can share your credential only in person with an organisation who has the ability to verify credentials. To do this, follow these steps to generate a QR code in your Govt.nz app wallet for the organisation to scan. 

  1. Open the Govt.nz app. 
  2. Select Wallet. 
  3. Select Use QR code. 
  4. Let the organisation that wants to verify your credential scan the QR code. 
  5. On the Information request screen, select Share information. 
  6. On the Switch credential screen, select the account with the credential you want to share. 

Verify a Business Bank Account Verifiable Credential.

Follow these steps to verify a credential using the NZ Verify app. 

  1. Download and open the NZ Verify app.
  2. Select Proof of bank account.
  3. Scan the QR code displayed in the Govt.nz app wallet of the person whose verifiable credential you want to check.
  4. After the person shares their credential, the screen will show whether it is valid.
