What’s the difference between managed funds and term deposits?
Managed funds are a simple way to invest. Your money is managed by expert fund managers, with the potential for higher returns than a term deposit over the long term (depending on the fund you invest in). With that also comes the potential for more risk (your balance going down).
Term deposits provide stability in terms of a guaranteed return with your money invested for a set period of time. They may provide less potential for growth than a managed fund over the long term.
