How can I receive foreign currency into New Zealand?

To avoid currency conversions by other banks on payments being received into New Zealand, consider opening a foreign currency account with Westpac and requesting the sender include 'do not convert' in the message. This reduces the likelihood of the other bank converting the payment before it arrives.
