How do I generate a Business Bank Account Verifiable Credential in Westpac One Business?

Only Westpac One Business® Administrators can access the digital credentials menu to generate verifiable credentials.

Get started.

  1. Download the Govt.nz app before you begin. This is the digital wallet where you will store your Business Bank Account Verifiable Credential.
  2. Open Westpac One Business on another device as you’ll need to have your Govt.nz app wallet open to add the credential.

Generate a credential.

  1. Log in to Westpac One Business.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Manage, then select Digital credentials.
  3. Select the account you want to generate a Verifiable Credential for.
  4. Select Add credentials to Govt.nz app to generate a QR code.
  5. Open the Govt.nz app on your mobile or tablet.
  6. Select either:
    • the + icon at the top of the Wallet screen, or
    • Wallet, then Manage Wallet, then + Add a credential.
  7. Select Scan a code from an issuer.
  8. Scan the QR code displayed in Westpac One Business.
  9. On the Add this credential screen, select Continue.
  10. (Optional) Select View Details to confirm the account information.
  11. Enter the confirmation code sent to your registered mobile number, then select Confirm.
  12. Your credential is now ready to use and view in your Govt.nz app wallet.
