Supporting women-led businesses.
Closing the business ownership gap can accelerate our economy.
So many successful businesses in Aotearoa are run and founded by women. Yet, it’s still harder to access the right connections, business lending and support to help grow.
It is estimated that females own just under a third of businesses and receive a much smaller share of available funding. Closing that gap doesn’t just create a more equitable business landscape, it could unlock up to $10 billion to New Zealand's economy each year. *
That’s why we created Women Unlimited - to help more women start, grow and scale successful businesses. Because when women succeed, that success is shared.
Connecting you to the support you need, where you need it.
There’s no shortage of tenacity, talent and vision in the incredible women who own businesses or have a dream to in Aotearoa. But accessing the right connections and business lending can feel out of reach. The biggest difference Women Unlimited can make is to help remove those barriers. That’s exactly what we aim to do.
Our $100m start-up lending commitment
- We’ve committed $100 million in start-up lending for eligible new and growing businesses.
- We’re actively seeking more women-led businesses to apply to help close gender gaps in business ownership.

Starting a business in a new country wasn’t easy. "I didn’t feel all that confident initially, but I knew there was a real need, so I decided to take the plunge."
