Westpac NZ has renewed its 11-year loyalty partnership with Air New Zealand, and is looking forward to delivering new features and experiences for card customers.

Westpac NZ Head of Everyday Banking Products, Simon Macdonald, says customers will continue to earn points through the airline’s Koru programme – and with additional rewards innovations on the way.

“The banking world is changing rapidly and customer expectations are changing too.  New Zealanders want more than just help with their everyday banking - they want a trusted partner who understands their needs and rewards their loyalty with experiences and offers that are tailored to them,” Mr Macdonald says.

“We’ve had a solid and successful partnership with Air New Zealand for more than a decade, delivering great value to customers, and we look forward to building on that in the coming years.

“We’ve also done a lot of research into other ways we can show up differently for customers and help them get more value out of their card spending, especially at a time where costs are high for many.  We’re excited about what’s ahead, as we continue to roll out more experiences for customers.”

Air New Zealand GM Loyalty Georgie Borowczyk says the partnership reflects a continued focus on creating more rewarding experiences for customers.

“We’re pleased to renew our long-standing strategic partnership with Westpac NZ, continuing to give Koru members more ways to accelerate their rewards through everyday banking.”
