Molesworth St branch will be closed until Tuesday 24th January. North End and Lambton Quay are the closest options, both containing 24x7 Smart ATM access with Coin Deposit machines.


All ATMs are available.

Our contact centre, phone banking and online banking are available. All other operations and processing remain unaffected, including deskbank, corporate online & business online.

Westpac is committed to helping customers impacted by the recent earthquakes. 

We have a range of options that may assist you including:

  • A temporary overdraft facility;
  • The ability to stop your home loan repayments for up to three months;
  • A temporary reduction in your home loan repayments (eg interest only or extension of your loan term);
  • Immediate withdrawal for Term Investments and Notice Saver PIE.

We can also offer assistance to businesses customers such as temporary overdrafts or deferring payment of business credit cards.

If you've suffered damage to your home or contents and you have insurance with us you'll need to lodge a claim with EQC. This can be done online or by calling 0800 DAMAGE (0800 326 243).

For domestic property, the EQC cover the first $100,000 of damage to your home and the first $20,000 of damage to your contents. You have up to 3 months to make a claim.

It's a good idea to take photos of any damage as it will make it easier at claim time.
