In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to keep
you updated about the plans we're implementing to keep
our people and customers safe.
Our contact centre is experiencing extremely high call volumes and wait times are very long. We want to get to everyone but if your enquiry is not urgent, please call us back in the next few days. Thank you for your understanding.
Kia ora koutou katoa,
Westpac has stood alongside New Zealanders through the good times and bad for more than 150 years.
Once again, our country finds itself facing extraordinary and challenging circumstances, and once again we’re committed to being there for our customers.
At the moment our singular focus is on continuing to offer essential banking services and financial support, while keeping you and our people safe.
Like most of you, we’re learning to adapt to new ways of working. Only a small proportion of our branches will open when the country is at Level 4 and only for a short window on Wednesdays.
We have made this decision because we want to help minimise the number of pathways that Covid-19 can spread in the community.
Banking can still be done online or by telephone, and cash will still be available from ATMs.
This is a good time to register for online banking if you haven’t done so already.
Or, call us on 0800 400 600 if you would like to speak to someone directly about your banking needs.
If you’ve been financially affected by Covid-19 and need help, please get in touch. We have a range of support options for personal and business customers and we want to talk to you about how we can help. Our dedicated Covid-19 response team is available on 0800 606 606.
You’ll find more information in this Covid-19 section of the website about how we’re responding to the pandemic and how we can help.
Please take care of yourselves, and your families and friends.
Ngā mihi nui,
Westpac NZ Chief Executive
