Carolyn Kidd

Carolyn Kidd joined as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Westpac New Zealand, on 2 February 2016.  Carolyn originally joined Westpac New Zealand’s Graduate Programme in 1989, and progressed through a number of frontline and support roles before moving into Credit Risk roles and being appointed as Head of Business Credit. She left in 2006 to join ASB where she further developed her expertise and leadership in the function as a member of the ASB Executive Leadership Team. Carolyn then moved from ASB to Sovereign Group, where she was CRO until 2013. Most recently, Carolyn has been CRO for Bankwest, a division of CBA. Carolyn is an experienced risk executive who understands the importance of a risk function partnering with the business, and we’re very pleased to welcome her back to New Zealand and Westpac Group. Carolyn holds a BA from the University of Auckland and a Diploma in Banking from Massey University.
