Former Prime Minister Helen Clark heads an impressive line-up of speakers at this year’s Women of Influence Forum.
Miss Clark, who earlier this year completed her second term as Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme and Chair of the United Nations Development Group, will be joined by Race Relations Conciliator Dame Susan Devoy, sportsman and entrepreneur Dion Nash, and company director and Blake Leader Award winner Rukumoana Schaafhausen.
The half-day Forum is a highlight of the Women of Influence Programme, jointly presented by Fairfax Media and Westpac, which is now in its fifth year.
The Forum also includes panel discussions involving representatives from business, academia, and politics tackling a broad range of issues.
Karen Silk, Westpac general manager of Commercial, Corporate and Institutional Banking said: "The Women of Influence Forum is an opportunity to hear from some outstanding people who've achieved real success and have inspiring stories and insights to share."
"We know the audience will come away with some great insights. They'll also have the opportunity to ask questions."
"We are rapt to have among our guest speakers Helen Clark. Dame Susan Devoy will also share her experiences in her role as Race Relations Commissioner and the work she's been doing around tackling racism both subtle and overt.
"Dion Nash, a successful cricketer who reinvented himself as an entrepreneur, will take us on his journey to find success again, and Ruku Schaafhausen has a fascinating story to tell about the importance of knowing who you are and backing yourself."
Editor-in-chief Sinead Boucher said: "On behalf of Fairfax Media, I am proud to be championing a programme with Westpac that helps us celebrate and inspire strong women leaders.
"The forum builds on the awards to provide an opportunity for robust conversation and insight on this matter.
"Significance is the theme of the forum, and it couldn't be more fitting. I suspect attendees will remember the event as a significant moment of inspiration in years to come."
