Westpac Winch Challenge

Westpac Winch Challenge

Westpac employees Shane Howell and Jim Reardon are challenging each other to a duel.

In a bid to raise money for the 2016 Westpac Chopper Appeal, the lads have accepted to go head-to-head in the Westpac Winch Challenge to see who can raise the most money for the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

"Rescued" by winch or swim back with shame

the westpac winch red news

On  Friday, May 20,  Shane and Jim will swim out into Auckland's Waitemata Harbour but only one of them will be “rescued” by the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter team.

The other will complete the swim of shame back to the wharf.

You decide who wins by donating generously to either Team Shane or Team Jim.

The one with the highest donation total will be winched on the day.

There will be a pre-winch luncheon event that 100 randomly selected donors will be invited to at Westpac on Takutai Square where the winner will be announced before heading down to the wharf to watch the action.

Funds raised will benefit the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust to help them continue their incredible work in our community.
