Online research company Canstar has declared Westpac to be New Zealand’s Bank of the Year – Everyday Banking for the second year in succession.
The announcement follows an extensive review in which Canstar evaluated the level and variety of everyday banking products, services and tools available to New Zealanders.
Canstar general manager Jose George said everyday banking in New Zealand is enormously different to what it was 10 – or even five – years ago.
“Innovation is pushing the boundaries in the financial sector with transactional banking at the forefront of change,” said Jose.
“Our advice to consumers is to use whatever is available to manage your budget and look at ways to gain additional value from your money. Everyday banking is no longer a ‘one-size-fits-all’ scenario.”
