Banking on your own terms over the holidays

Banking on your own terms over the holidays

With the busy holiday season already upon us, now is the perfect time to remind yourself of all the ways you can bank on your terms.

Small things can be easily forgotten over the festive season; here’s some tips to help ensure your banking isn’t one of them.

Bank digitally

Our digital banking platform Westpac One (available on mobile, desktop, and tablet) enables you to manage your accounts easily 24/7 from your devices.

Our Smart ATMs can also process many banking requests, such as deposits, withdrawals, and paying bills.

If you need help, there are online how-to guides with step-by-step instructions for Westpac One and Smart ATMs.

Check your AP instructions

As there will be no processing on public holidays, Automatic Payments will either be processed on the business day before or business day after – depending on which option you have chosen.

You can easily view your options using Westpac One.

Inform us of your travel plans

Remember to let Westpac know your travel plans if you are taking your cards with you – that way we can make sure we’ve registered it with our Fraud team.

Keep track of your spending

A great tool to help keep an eye on your transactions is CashNav, especially if you are travelling during the holidays.

With the notifications enabled you will be able to see a transaction the second it is charged (which is a great security feature when overseas).

How to get in touch

There may be times where you need to speak to Westpac on the phone or perhaps have a face-to-face discussion.

The Contact Us page on our website has all the information you need to know how to talk to us.
