Bring along your ID and details of your automatic payments and direct debits. Our friendly staff will take care of the rest.
We'll arrange the switch with your current bank and text you to let you know when your account is ready to use.

After you have signed the paperwork and had your ID validated at a branch, we'll send the paperwork to our dedicated switching team. We'll do this within 24 hours and send you a text when the request has been sent to your current bank.
It usually takes up to 5 working days for us to receive the information back from them.
Once we get it, we'll set up your direct debits and automatic payments and send you a text to let you know that your account is ready to use.
We'll fill out an employer's letter with you which we can either post to your employer or you can give it to them instead.
If for whatever reason your salary hasn't been paid into your account by the time a bill payment is due, the bill will not be paid.
However, the important thing to remember is that it is your responsibility to ensure that your employer changes your bank account details. If you are having any difficulties just give us a call.
*Free electronic transactions (online, Westpac ATM withdrawals/transfers, eftpos). No monthly account fee if you waive your paper statements. Any transactions made at another bank's ATM will incur an additional $1 charge.

If you are a tax resident of any country(s) other than New Zealand, please bring your foreign tax numbers as well.
Remember to bring:
1 x Photo ID
e.g. NZ Drivers License
+ 1 other form of ID
e.g. Marriage certificate
Credit or Debit Card from another bank
+ proof of address
e.g. Bank statement or utility bill
+ copies of any bills you pay by Direct Debit
+ details of your employer’s Payroll contact.
