Westpac Direct from Account®

We aim to provide new, innovative and cost effective payment solutions for our customers. We have created secure services that can be accessed by third parties to build new payment solutions for Westpac customers.

Westpac Direct from Account® is a secure wholesale API service that enables you to pay for goods and services directly from your Westpac bank account, rather than using a credit or debit card.  

Westpac has recently created a partnership with Datacom to support an innovative payment method known as Datacom Real Time Debit©, which will be offered to Westpac customers looking to pay via a Datacom provided gateway service where a choice of payment methods is provided..

If a Westpac customer chooses Datacom Real Time Debit©, the payment request will be managed via a secure authentication process with Westpac’s Direct from Account service.

To access Westpac Direct from Account you need to have:

  • access to Westpac One® set up; and 
  • a transactional account with Westpac

Westpac Direct from Account is a safe way for Westpac customers to pay for goods and services online. To log into Westpac Direct from Account you need to use the same Customer ID and password as for logging into Westpac One.
