Packaging with principles
New Zealand's first carboNZero certified packaging company, Ecoware provide plant-based sustainable food packaging.
Ecoware products are made from annually renewable resources, namely corn, sugarcane and bamboo. Their paper comes from responsibly managed plantations and their inks are either soy or water based, rendering them non-toxic.
All products can be composted in a commercial facility and their raw materials and final products provide a sustainable solution to oil based food packaging.
Although still young, the Auckland based company are making quite an impact, with a range of products, including bamboo food boxes and sugarcane tableware.
Having initially targeted the coffee and hospitality industries, the company is ambitious in its plans to offer sustainable packaging solutions across a wide range of end users.
