1: What can I do to protect my computer from viruses and other malicious programmes?
Installing anti-virus and anti-spyware software, and a personal firewall on your personal computer will help to protect it from viruses and spyware programmes which track what you are doing on the internet.

3: How do I keep my information private while using a public computer?
If you access your accounts using a computer in a cyber café, a library or your workplace, try to ensure the computer has the latest
anti-virus software  
firewall protection  
anti-spyware software  
browser software installed  
In addition to this, always make sure you log off correctly.
4: What to do if you receive a phishing scam email
If you believe you have received a Westpac-related phishing scam email, report it by forwarding the email to this address:
do not click on the link contained in the email  
do not reply to the email  
report the phishing scam (see below)  
delete the email  
update and perform an anti-virus scan on your computer  
update and perform an anti-spyware scan on your computer
