Features of the Mortgage Investment Fund
the option of investing by regular payments, lump sum payments or both  
ability to withdraw all or part of your investment at no charge (subject to any applicable minimums)  
choose whether your regular distributions are paid in cash or automatically reinvested to take advantage of compounding returns  
as this is a PIE fund, your investment will be taxed at your prescribed investor rate  
you will receive regular notices on your investment and financial statements each year.  
How much do you need to invest?
Your approach to investing can be as flexible as you want it to be. You can make regular investments or pay in lump sum investments.
 Payment type Minimum investment
Regular investments $1200 per year—choose to pay this monthly, quarterly or annually (provided you have made the first lump sum payment of $5,000).
Lump sum payments $5000 minimum for first lump sum; $500 each lump sum after that.
Initial service, administration and other charges
there is no initial service charge or administration charge  
a trustee fee of up to 0.075% p.a. (plus any GST) of the fund’s gross assets applies (subject to a minimum charge of $15,000 p.a. (plus any GST))  
a management fee of up to 1.00% p.a. (plus any GST) of the fund’s gross assets applies  
an early withdrawal fee of 1.00% on the amount withdrawn applies, if withdrawal required within 30 days.  
You can get a copy of the investment statement for any securities for which an investment statement is required from any Westpac branch in New Zealand. Disclosure Statements for Westpac Investment Advisers are available on request and free of charge from any Westpac Investment Adviser.
