The Capital Protection Plan
You'll be investing in a series of funds established under the Capital Protection Plan. These are
for people with an investment timeframe of more than 10 years  
for people who want an investment designed to help protect their capital contributions to maturity of the relevant fund  
invested principally in shares (at launch) to provide investors with the opportunity to maximise returns.  
To get started, you’ll need
a $1,000 minimum investment  
to commit to each CPP fund for ten years

Cash Fund
Want to use your KiwiSaver investment as a deposit on your first home? Perhaps you’re close to retirement age? A short-term investment may suit.
The Cash Fund
is for people who want stable, low volatility returns  
invests in income assets of a short-term nature  
provides stability and low volatility returns  
Long-term, the return on your Cash Fund is likely to be lower than investments which include growth assets.

Conservative Fund
The Conservative Fund is for investors who want a low level of risk. This fund:
invests in a higher proportion of income assets than the Balanced or Growth Funds  
is likely to be more stable than the Balanced or Growth Funds  
returns will vary and at times may be low or negative  
If you don't choose an investment option your KiwiSaver contributions will be automatically invested in the Conservative Fund. You can opt to change this and choose another investment option at any time.

Balanced Fund
The Balanced Fund is for investors who want medium potential returns for medium risk. This Fund:
aims to balance income and growth assets  
has potential for high returns over time due to a significant proportion invested in growth assets  
returns will vary and at times may be low or negative

Growth Fund
The Growth Fund is for investors who want high potential returns and who are comfortable with greater fluctuations in the level of those returns. This Fund
has a high proportion of growth assets  
has the potential for the highest returns over time, compared to the other Westpac KiwiSaver Scheme Funds  
returns will vary and are likely in some years to be low or negative
