Information needed to complete your application
We'll ask you some questions about your finances and personal details. You'll also need to show us some documents, as listed below.
Once we receive your application, we'll contact you about the best way to supply us with your documents.
You will need to provide proof of income
If we can see income deposits into your Westpac account, this may be all we need.
Otherwise, we'll need to see
bank statements for 3 consecutive months showing all the income deposits into your account OR
a current payslip confirming annual income or year-to-date income for a period longer than 3 months OR
income tax assessments from IRD showing your annual gross income for the last fiscal year OR
a current, original letter signed by your employer confirming income details and employment term.
You will need to provide proof of identity—any one of
passport
New Zealand driver’s licence
New Zealand firearms licence.
Or, you can provide any two of
New Zealand birth certificate
New Zealand citizenship certificate
credit or debit card
New Zealand certificate of identity
marriage certificate
student ID.
Additional information for non-Westpac customers
Non-Westpac customers will also need to supply:
Proof of address
a current bank statement in your name from another bank OR
a power, phone or other utility bill addressed to you and posted to your address.
Some banking history
bank statements for the last 3 months.
