Mortgage protection

Flexicover can help cover your Westpac Home Loan if you’re unable to work or die. If something serious happens to you, it could take care of your repayments for a time or, in some situations, pay it off entirely.

How Flexicover works

When you apply for a Westpac Home Loan, you and a partner can also apply for Flexicover. It's only available with a Westpac Home Loan and protects you in a range of ways:

 action
If you die or are diagnosed as terminally ill with less than 12 months to live

Flexicover could pay off your outstanding home loan.

action
If you’re unable to work because of disability

Flexicover could make your repayments until you return to work. You can claim more than once for the same condition for up to 30 months in total. Payments start after 42 days of total disability.

After 30 months of disability, Flexicover could pay off your outstanding loan.

 action
If you’re made involuntarily redundant

Flexicover could make your repayments for up to six months. Payments start 42 days after the period covered by your redundancy pay out.

 action
Six months cover if you’re made bankrupt

Flexicover could make your repayments for up to six months if you’re self-employed and made bankrupt. Payments can start immediately.
